The G Reserve is the culmination of the renovation of one of the city?s most iconic historic landmarks, the Union Trust Company building. The 12-story Union Trust Co. building was built in 1901 and 1902, and is on the National Register of Historic Places. At the time of its completion, it was among the tallest buildings in New England. The structure features an ornate exterior of brick and rusticated granite, of a French Renaissance-revival style, according to the Register?s description of the building. ?The Union Trust Company Building is an example of grandiose revivalist and eclectic turn-of-the-century architecture, a symbol of the high status in which the financial community saw itself in this era.? In keeping to the historic nature of the building and exemplifying the Providence G brand, the G Reserve will maintain the historic charm of the buildings while and paying homage to the ?high status? of the buildings past with modern upscale apartments and amenities. The Providence G?s stance of Luxury Lifestyle Living will be refined to have a more ?Reserved? lifestyle while maintaining the Luxury Living aspects. The building features 60 luxury apartments spread over 9 floors, all ranging in square footage, layout, and size. Each apartment features matching granite counter tops, window sills, thresholds, and bath vanities along with a clean white pallet on the walls, vintage gray floors, and custom white shaker style cabinetry. Each unit comes equipped with a full kitchen of GE stainless steel appliances and Kohler fixtures as well as individual access control via the buildings modern security and access system. All tenants have access to the buildings fitness center and common area laundry facility as well as a twice weekly dry cleaning services (at renter?s expense). In addition all residents of the G Reserve will have privileged access to the Providence G and its venues and facilities including the Narragansett Hotel Garage for 24hr parking services. In addition to apartments, the G Reserve is also home to the first floor Dorrance Restaurant, which maintains the timeless elegance of yesteryear in a gleaming, contemporary way.
